Send Your Donations! I'll Promote Your Band!

I really hate asking for money on this blog, considering that what I do is a labor of love and I don’t expect to get paid for it. However, I have hit a financial snag that will leave me severely short on money for the next two weeks. There are only so many CD’s and books I can sell back to used good stores before my sanity starts to wane a little, and I don’t want to have to pawn the half-guitar I was given as a gift from a family friend over ten years ago.

If you like what I’m doing with this blog and/or you just like helping out scrappy college kids, please click the “donate” button on the main page of my blog, or click HERE. It doesn’t matter how much money you give me - it can be $1 or $1,000 (keep dreaming) - any donation will help me out. What made me short on cash to begin with is purchasing my Mastodon/Opeth ticket for May 12th. If you want to see me get to shows and review those shows, I have to have enough money to be able to do such!

Now about the title…if you’re in a band and would like for me to promote your music on this blog by writing a music review or other content (such as MP3s), you can throw $5 my way. I will reward you with a little kick of publicity. Is that a good deal? A lot of assholes would ask for a lot more money than that. This is only for bands that want to help me out. You don’t have to, but it would be cool if you did.

Yes, I know, it seems awfully crass of me to ask my followers for money, but here’s the truth. I’m a broke college kid with student loan debts, and I’m entering my final semester before graduating. I am trying to save as much money as I can, but my current job doesn’t pay much, and most of my money goes to food and bills. If anyone reading my blog would be as kind as to send some money my way VIA PayPal, I would very much appreciate it.

You can donate how much (or how little) you want. Even if it’s just $1, that will still be a huge help to me right now. I’m kind of scared that after I graduate, I won’t be able to get a job in my career field right off, and I’ll still have to pay back my loans, and…it’s not going to be pretty. Just help me put my mind at ease a bit.

I’m also planning on setting up an Ebay account to sell off some items around my house that I no longer want, including musical instruments, other music merchandise, and perhaps a few clothing items. Help me out in any possible way that you can. I will greatly appreciate it.
