In Dave Grohl’s 2003 “Cash For Questions” interview with Q magazine, a fan asked, “Is the line ‘I love it but I hate the taste’ from ‘All My Life’ about oral sex?” Dave responded, “It is, actually. That song is a little dirty. Use your imagination, but good call - you’re the first person that’s ever asked that. From experience? Many. I’m very fond of giving oral sex to women. True story, folks. Late night, randomly type “songs about cunnilingus” into Google search for shits and giggles, find a message board that lists a tons of songs. One of those songs is a Foo Fighters song that I had a completely different interpretation of. I lied there in bed, wide-eyed, and had one of those Peter Griffin “OH GOD” moments.

People are probably going to flame me for this, but I’ve often wondered if Dave had more feelings for Kurt than just friendship. To this day, a lot of Foo Fighters songs are Kurt-inspired in some way or another. It’s like some kind of weird grunge version of Diddy and Biggie.
