Things You Can Look Forward To In 2012…
I might not update this blog for a few days, but here’s what I have in store for 2012:
- A full review of the Kylesa/Whores/Royal Thunder show on New Year’s Eve. This will be my last show review until May (unless it’s a local Chattanooga show), so I’ve got to make this one count!
- Beyond Doomed: A brand new mini-series of articles that explores occult and masonic imagery in sludge/stoner/doom metal music and album art. I have enlisted the help of a few world-weary souls to help me in these articles, but if you’re an expert on occult symbolism and arcana, feel free to volunteer in helping me out!
- Women of Sludge Metal Appreciation Week Part IV will probably get under way in March. If you are a woman in a sludge/stoner/doom metal band and want to participate (either by submitting music or answering my five-question interview), please hit up my ask box! I want to get more interviews this time around. Part III was a bit of a disaster ^^’
Also, in 2012, we can look forward to new releases by:
- Neurosis
- Baroness
- High on Fire
- Tiger! Tiger!
- Made out of Babies
- Sleigh Bells
- Undersmile
- Surely many more that I can’t think of off the top of my head!
Just a reminder: Here are some great sludge/stoner/doom-related blogs to follow (I don’t run any of these, so don’t ask me to post anything to them!):
See you lovely souls in the new year! Let’s make it a good one!
